Is Lion Latch Still in Business? YES — And We acquired another Shark Tank brand!

If you’ve found yourself Googling “Is Lion Latch still in business?” after seeing the tiny travel jewelry holder on Shark Tank, we have some exciting news for you:

YES! Lion Latch is still in business — and there’s a whole lot happening at Lion Latch.

From new patterns and limited-edition releases to collegiate designs and an ever-growing lineup of products, the little jewelry holder that started with one simple idea continues to evolve.

So, if you remember Lion Latch from Shark Tank and have been wondering what happened to Lion Latch, here’s your update.

From a Broken Ring to Shark Tank

Lion Latch started with a problem that needed a solution.

Founder Lerin Lockwood, a teacher, coach, and mom, damaged her engagement ring while playing softball. Like so many athletes, nurses, travelers, gym-goers, and busy women, she needed somewhere safe to put her jewelry when she had to take it off.

Instead of tossing a ring into a pocket, leaving it in a locker, or putting it somewhere she might forget, she created something completely different.

Lion Latch was created.

The compact travel jewelry holder uses its carabiner-style ring as part of the locking mechanism, creating a small, portable place to keep rings, earrings and other tiny valuables while you're on the go.

The invention eventually made its way to national television when Lion Latch appeared on ABC's Shark Tank Season 13, Episode 1.

But Shark Tank wasn't the end of the Lion Latch story.

It was one chapter.

So, Is Lion Latch Still in Business in 2026?

Absolutely.

Lion Latch is celebrating 10 years and continues to sell its signature travel jewelry holders while introducing new colors, patterns, collections, bundles, accessories and giftable designs.

The mission is still simple:

Latch it - Don't Lose it.

But today's Lion Latch is about more than the original solid-color jewelry holder.

We're constantly dreaming up new ways to make Lion Latch more personal, more giftable and a lot more fun.

College Spirit Meets Lion Latch

One of the most exciting areas of growth for Lion Latch is collegiate licensing and university-inspired products.

Because what better place for Lion Latch than a college campus?

Student athletes regularly have to remove jewelry for practices, games, workouts and competitions. Students want a convenient place to keep class rings and small valuables. Alumni want products that let them show off their school pride.

Lion Latch fits right into that world.

Our growing collegiate lineup includes officially licensed and school-inspired designs that combine the functionality of the original Lion Latch with the colors, logos and traditions fans love.

You'll already find designs celebrating schools such as Texas A&M University and Tarleton State University, with more opportunities for collegiate expansion ahead.

For Aggies, for example, Lion Latch offers designs made with one particularly important piece of jewelry in mind:

Aggie Gold.

When you've worked that hard for your class ring, tossing it loose into a gym bag isn't exactly ideal.

Our goal is to continue bringing the Lion Latch concept into the collegiate world so students, athletes, alumni and fans can protect their jewelry while representing the schools they love.

New Lion Latch Patterns Keep Dropping

If you remember Lion Latch as the cute little solid-colored container you saw years ago, you might want to take another look.

Lion Latch has had a serious glow-up.

We're constantly experimenting with new patterns, colors and seasonal designs that turn a practical jewelry holder into an accessory you'll actually want hanging from your bag.

Recent and newer designs have included patterns and themes such as:

Western. Leopard Print. Duck Camo. Henna Paisley. Roller Skates. Lemons. Bows. Sports. Game Day.

And that's only the beginning.

Some designs are playful. Some are sporty. Some are seasonal. Others are created for people who simply want their Lion Latch to match their personality.

The idea is simple:

Why should something practical have to be boring?

Lion Latch Is Made for More Than Travel

You might see Lion Latch described as a travel jewelry holder, but travel is only one way people use it.

Lion Latch is designed for those everyday moments when you suddenly realize:

"I need to take my jewelry off. Where do I put it?"

Think about:

The gym.

Clip it inside your gym bag and have a designated spot for your rings before your workout.

Sports practice.

Athletes can remove earrings, rings and other small jewelry before hitting the field or court.

Travel.

Keep small jewelry organized instead of letting it disappear into the bottom of a suitcase or toiletry bag.

The beach or pool.

When it's time to take your jewelry off, you already have a place for it.

Work.

Nurses, medical professionals, hairstylists, estheticians and others who frequently remove jewelry can keep a Lion Latch nearby.

And Lion Latch isn't limited to jewelry. The small container can also hold other tiny essentials and valuables.

Still Made in the USA

Another part of the Lion Latch story we're incredibly proud of?

Lion Latch is made in the USA!

As the brand has grown from an inventor's idea to a Shark Tank product and beyond, we've stayed focused on what made Lion Latch special in the first place: a simple solution to a real problem.

So, what’s the new business?

We acquired Plop Star! It’s another Shark Tank brand that makes discreet, odor-neutralizing toilet tablets. Just drop one in the bowl before you go! No sprays, no cover-up scents and no announcing your business to everyone nearby. We’ve completely refreshed the brand and are so excited to see where we can take it next! Try it now at PlopStar.com!
